LIMITED/UNLIMITED #ALTAROMA

Limited/unlimited is one of the great events during AltaRoma. This project has been wanted by Silvia Venturini Fendi and after frequent success it arrives at the 5th edition. L/U is a platform where designers can express their creativity following a common thread based on a chosen theme and this time it was SCULPTURAL. Every designer realized a piece turning into reality what was in his mind, what the “sculpural” word suggested himself, creating objects, accessories and clothes that are an half way between fashion and conceptual art or that we can call demi-couture.

The luxury idea means the choise of a material, of a detail who borns by the craftman work and lives forever. The values of those objects are timeless, don’t corrupted by the marketing laws that demand a fast time producing.

Limited/unlimited è uno degli appuntamenti più interessanti di AltaRoma. Voluto fortemente da Silvia Venturini Fendi, L/U è una piattaforma dove i designer  esprimono la loro creatività seguendo un filo conduttore basato su un tema che viene scelto ad ogni edizione e per questa, il tema è stato “SCULPTURAL”. Ogni designer ha realizzato un pezzo trasformando in realtà un’idea, quello che la parola “sculptural” gli suggeriva, creando oggetti, accessori e  abiti che sono a metà strada tra la moda e arte concettuale simbolo del  fenomeno della demi-couture.

Attualmente l’idea di lusso significa un materiale, un dettaglio che nasce dal lavoro dell’artigiano e vive per sempre. I valori di questi oggetti sono senza tempo e non corrotti dalle leggi del marketing che costringono ad una produzione veloce.

Sono molti i nomi che hanno partecipato al progetto tra cui Garet Pugh, lo stilista amato da Lady Gaga, Mary Katrantzou, Aquilano Rimondi, Francesco Scogniamiglio, Marco De Vincenzo, Andreia Chaves, Sergio Zambon, Valentino, Capucci, Fendi.
